Mercury Cares

Through our Mercury Cares apprenticeship, internship and scholarship programs, students and youth from across the country are supported and mentored to become the next generation of advocates for the telecommunications industry.

Apprenticeship

To advance the demand for greater connectivity in our local communities, we invest in developing highly skilled telecommunications workers through broadband workforce training opportunities, mentorship and meaningful career paths through Mercury’s apprenticeship program.

Internships

Mercury interns receive more than school credit; they also get experiences, connections and a paycheck. Interns will learn basic workplace skills and explore potential career paths. Intern positions are available in a variety of office settings and service centers throughout the Midwest.

Scholarships

At Mercury, we believe it is important to invest in the next generation of leaders to ensure a bright future for the telecommunications industry. This is why we established the Mercury Cares Scholarship Program for students attending trade and vocational schools who are focused on technical education.

Mercury awards scholarships for two categories of students in an accredited program:

High school seniors or recent graduates who have not yet started an advanced program or degree

Undergraduate students

Students who are currently participating in an associate degree, trade or vocational program but have not yet graduated, received a certificate or diploma.
